As you can imagine, Richard and I have had many deep, soul-searching conversations of late.
One day I was expressing my gratitude for all he has done to save my hair and ensure I have no permanent hair loss. I shared that his mission to “save my life” encompassed so much to include the understanding of my feelings especially about permanent hair loss.
He said to me that he didn’t know how much he loved me until this happened.
I melted like one of those dressed-in-a Santa-suit-chicks on the Hallmark Channel.
His words have stayed with me for many days. I wonder how many times each of us fails by omission of expression to share with another person how much they mean to us.
Leaders, are you verbally expressing to your followers what they mean to you? Do your followers know you care?
Thanksgiving is just around the corner. It is a great time to let those around you (family, friends, co-workers) genuinely know what they mean to you.
