I have shared with you the numerous acts of kindness that Richard and I have received as we conquer this cancer journey.
Again, we were overwhelmed when former participants surprised us on Friday, 23 September, at Picatinny Arsenal.
Often, Richard and I wonder if the work we do makes the difference we intend. All doubts were removed that Friday.
Their actions (the DO in BE – KNOW – DO) of support and love showed us they fully understand the Army’s definition of empathy and can apply it. We have tangible reminders throughout our home of these and their loving, hand-written notes are kept in a precious memory box.
Richard and I are blessed.
