I am not exactly back in the saddle. I am going back on the operating table today.
One of my internal stitches from my reconstruction surgery in January has not dissolved. It has formed a small lump.
There was a time when a lump would have put me into “worry orbit.” Today, I know everything is fixable.
The terminology for this condition is “suture granuloma.” That sounds impressive. I think it would make better sense to use common, understandable terms for medical conditions. For example, sutures could be classified as:
Good Suture
Bad Suture
Really Bad Suture.
That would make sense to me.
Leaders … How clear is your language and your writing? A good standard to check yourself is to ask, “Is this easy to comprehend at one read or at one listening?”
