Bennie Blount is the Founder and President of Vietnam Vet Radio (VVR). VVR music has been playing in our home since Richard discovered the Internet station.
He asked if there was anything he could do when notified of Richard’s death. I asked if he would play music Richard loved during his wake.
He played Richard’s music! And … Bennie did so much more. Throughout the program, you will hear Bennie confidently say that Richard went “home.” I have found his words extremely comforting in how this message is said. I have heard these words numerous times in last few weeks and yet, during this program, Bennie’s words provide incredible reassurance.
I provided Bennie a long list of Richard’s favorites. He picked EXACTLY and added EXACTLY every perfect song.

Direct quote from the VVR website: “Vietnam Vet Radio is an internet only radio station dedicated to the men and women who served in the Vietnam War, their families, and friends. We are incorporated as a 501(c)3 non-profit veterans ministry organization. With a few exceptions all the songs played are from the Vietnam War era. We also play the authentic jingles and public service announcements that were played on AFVN (American Forces Vietnam Network) Radio.“
